We are a company specialising in the manufacture of wood composite materials (WPC – wood-polymer composite material) and strive to provide our customers with the best product available.
Despite the fact that our company has only recently launched production, we provide high quality WPC products, manufactured using brand new and up-to-date equipment. Development, high technology, innovation, research and experience are the values that guide our company’s work.
Manufactured in Latvia from European raw materials, our products meet new market demands, focusing on ongoing renewal, replacing traditional materials and ensuring longevity and durability.
The company pays particular attention to the environmental aspect and reducing consumption, associating its products with environmental sustainability for environmental awareness, research and innovation.
Appearance and performance are taken into consideration when choosing a material, and a compromise is always considered. Composite wood, for instance, is the solution for those who do not want to give up the appearance of wood, but are concerned about its sustainability in the open air.
Our company specialises in deep 3D embossed decking, “OLD WOOD” fence boards and “Antislip” stair treads.
Wood composite is a highly innovative product, also known as WPC, which stands for “wood-polymer composite”.
This material is made from natural wood fibres which are ground and combined with special additives and polymer composite resins in a hot extrusion process.
The composition may deviate slightly, but wood fibres account for around 60 per cent of the total. Due to its high durability, this material is increasingly valued on the market, especially for outdoor applications such as decking or facade cladding. WPC is composed of approx. 60% hardwood fibre, approx. 30% polymer (high-density polyethylene -HDPE) and 10% chemical additives (coloured pigments, UV-absorbing and stabilising agents, fungicides), which ensure its technically perfect properties for exterior and interior use.
Wood is a highly demanded material due to its typically warm and comfortable appearance.
Nevertheless, for some purposes, especially outdoors, certain characteristics, such as durability and weather resistance, have to be considered. Especially for those who do not want to give up the natural look of a wooden floor, even outdoors, apart from focusing on specific, more resistant and more expensive types of wood, consider the acceptable alternative that composite wood represents today.
This material is used to produce boards and panels, whose advantage is that they do not discolour and are generally damage-proof. This means that composite wood is resistant to mould, insects and other micro-organisms and also resists UV radiation, preventing ageing processes.
It is also water-resistant due to its polymer composition and withstands impact, abrasion and weight loads.
Particularly appealing is its ability to withstand temperature fluctuations and heat (it does not overheat), which makes it suitable for outdoor use in different climates.
The longevity of this coating means that maintenance and replacement work is less frequent than, for instance, with wood. The durability of a high-quality WPC decking can be up to 25 to 30 years.
Principal advantages: resistance to temperature fluctuations from -40°C to +60°C, it is highly flame retardant. It is a non-slip material that will not chip or peel, will not deform and is highly resistant to abrasion. The material is easy to mount and does not require any special maintenance or coating. It is also water- and salt-tolerant, marine-tested, insect- and termite-resistant and resistant to mildew. WPC flooring is also eco-friendly, environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable.
Due to the benefits listed above, it’s easy to see that composite wood is suitable for a range of possible purposes, although its principal application is in outdoor flooring.
Its resistance to temperature variations, UV rays and water makes it ideal for flooring in both public and private areas. It is ideal for pool and garden areas, balconies, patios and terraces, verandas, quaysides and coastal paths, it is also ideal for paving public areas, covering reservoirs and aqueducts, any outdoor space, outdoor floors, etc. This material is also suitable for facades, perimeter walls or fences.
Furthermore, it is often chosen for seaside locations as it is easy to clean and requires little maintenance. At such locations, for example, elements and objects such as walkways or railings are likewise made of composite wood.
Even in particularly damp locations or in cold climates that are prone to severe frosts, composite wood can be a good alternative to wood material.
Moreover, its ability to combine aesthetic qualities and durability makes it suitable for cladding facades of buildings, especially since the boards are available in different sizes and colours.
The benefits of WPC flooring are also evident during installation, as only a few basic guidelines need to be followed for successful installation.
Technical guidelines and instructions, such as board spacing, joist spacing measurements, fixing, etc. will be specified in detail in the relevant manual and provided on purchase.
Generally, note that WPC is subject to normal expansion and contraction due to thermal changes, so when installing, leave 15mm between the starting element and at least 5mm between the main element.
When installing WPC boards, temperature must also be taken into account to ensure that the distances are optimally estimated.
The plastic component of WPC can generate electrostatic fields in some environments and climates; an appropriate earthing system is recommended to counteract this.
On the other hand, to prevent mould formation, it is advisable not to install the boards in permanently shaded, damp and unventilated areas.
Regular maintenance regarding cleaning and general checking of the floor is likewise recommended.
Wood is a material that is appreciated not only for its appearance, but equally for its genuineness, which is becoming an increasingly significant element given the growing concern over environmental issues.
Indeed, composite wood is fully recyclable and products made from this material can be extruded up to 20 times without the need to add any other substances.
Furthermore, no pollutants are generated in the manufacturing process – composite wood does not contain glue or other toxic substances such as formaldehyde, and it likewise benefits from the fact that it is not subject to chemical treatment during laying.
The quality of a wood-polymer composite is determined by its durability, longevity and sustainability – depending on the proportion of wood and plastic in the wood-polymer composite material. If the percentage of wood (sawdust) is higher than the percentage of plastic component and colour stabilising additives, this determines how quickly your WPC material will change colour (fading factor). Therefore, using inexpensive WPC means that the boards will discolour faster and become softer, prone to desiccation.
Our company proposes products composed of birch wood powder, primary and high-quality recycled polyethylene, mineral filler such as talc, UV stabilisers, colouring agents and processing additives manufactured in Europe.
If required, considering the wishes of our customers, we can manufacture our products according to the RAL colour palette.
